How Does Your Garden Grow?

Our Garden Grows almost all by it's self (Like Magic). This spring Maryanne, Carmen and I planted a garden in Maryannes' backyard - Then the rain came and washed a lot of our seeds away (but not all)  we have had some beets & radishes to enjoy.  Right now we have beets (more of them) tomatoes, zuccini squash,  and peppers ready to pick, and huge vines covering pumpkins, and cantilope... Looking forward to a happy harvest this fall! Funny thing is, we have not spent very much time weeding (the morning glory is greatful for that) or watering (sprinklers take care of that) so now we wait... pick... and enjoy!!!

08/17/2011 "Frampton Comes Alive"

Peter Frampton gained lasting international fame by 1976 with his much loved live album, Frampton Comes Alive! He gained lasting fame in my heart the first time I saw him on the T.V. show Midnight Special... I was baby sitting... trying to stay awake, when he came on, and I loved his music instantly!!!  Well, Peter and the boys, still have it going on!  They played their hearts out at Red Butte Gardens... Only thing missing was his beautiful, long, curly hair - Glad we were there to enjoy his/their performance :-) http://www.redbuttegarden.org/

08/14/2011 Jonny Lang @ Red Butte Gardens

Went to Red Butte Gardens (http://www.redbuttegarden.org/) to see Jonny Lang the other night, and really enjoyed the opening act... Their name was JJ Gray and the Mofro's, I think they said they were from Jacksonville, FL. - they were really great!

Jonny on the other hand, seemed to be... I don't know - depressed/sad/lost? He dragged each song out, and changed them so much that at times I wondered if he had forgotten what song he had started to play... but when he got it right, he got it right - the man can sing and play!!!  But sorry to say, it was not his best performance - this is the third time we have attended one of his concerts, and we were a little confused with the new format.  People left early... I heard others yelling "pick it up" as it was so slow moving (which his music is usually not).  Anyway, I hope he is OK, and he gets it back on track!  Really liked his sister's voice (she sang back up for him this time round).  We stayed until the very end, and that was good, as he left the very best for last!

The night was wonderful anyway... good friends, good food & drink, good friendly crowd, and warm wonderful summer weather... well that is until the ride home, then the wind and rain kicked in - at least it waited until after the concert :-)

Zions National Park "Summer 2009"

In June of 2009 our family went down to Zions National Park and rented a cabin at Zions Ponderosa (http://www.zionponderosa.com/index.htm )
